Undergraduate Business Technology Club
Description:
According to Bill Gates, "Information technology and business are becoming inextricably interwoven. I don't think anybody can talk meaningfully about one without the talking about the other." It's no surprise that the presence of technology is increasingly impacting the business world. And to acknowledge the importance of these two fields, the Business Technology Club has been established. The primary goals of the BTC include the following: * Increasing lecture events geared towards students with a background/interest in business and technology * Promoting Business Technology recruiting events * Increasing networking opportunities with peers and employers * Holding information sessions to increase knowledge in the field and prepare for the job market

Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Association
Description:
The Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Association (UEA) of Carnegie Mellon University promotes entrepreneurial thought and development at the undergraduate level. Through innovative workshops, lectures, and business plan competitions we educate students on building successful entrepreneurial endeavors. We run the annual Tepper Venture Challenge (started in 1999) highlights the most pioneering and original business opportunities that undergraduate students are developing at CMU and the greater Pittsburgh region. Through the help of our Sponsors and Advisors we award these students with a small amount of initial financing for creating the most opportunistic ventures. Undergraduate Finance Association
Description:
-Encourage students at Carnegie Mellon from different majors and various backgrounds to participate in the UFA?s activities. -Provide knowledge of finance for all those interested in learning about financial markets. -Foster student interest in the finance world. -Develop and maintain a network of alumni and friends in Finance and on Wall Street who can share their experiences with students back at Carnegie Mellon. -Expose students to ethical and moral dilemmas in the finance industry. -Create simulations and case competitions that allow students to simulate actual events from the finance world. -Work with Stuco to create a forum where students who enjoy finance can learn and interact with each other.

Undergraduate Investment Club
Description:
Our mission is to unite students interested in investment with outstanding educational and practical experience needed for a successful career. The Undergraduate Investment Club of Carnegie Mellon University will help develop students interest in investment by providing extensive opportunities through events and workshops. In order to accomplish our goals, the Undergraduate Investment Club (UIC) will offer a variety of interactive activities. UIC will compete yearly in the Equities Cup, a nationwide stock competition among the best business institutions in America. The club will also hold stock competitions of its own on campus to give members a preview of the stock market, and helping them prepare for their future investment endeavors. In addition to competitions, UIC will hold Investment Tutorials for anyone interested in learning about the fundamental strategies of investment.

Undergraduate Marketing Organization
Description:
Purpose: 1. Increase awareness about marketing and the UMO on campus. 2. Encourage students from different backgrounds and majors to participate in UMO¬タルs activities. 3. Promote the marketing program at Carnegie Mellon University to both students and professional recruiters. 4. Develop student interest in various sectors of the marketing world. 5. Unite for Africa
Description:
Young African Leaders Alliance (YALA) works to promote African culture, community and social issues on campus and in the larger community. YALA will provide information, educational programs, community service, guest speakers, and cultural opportunities regarding African related issues. The organization is a cultural interest organization, and therefore welcomes and encourages members of all ethnicities, races, and nationalities!

Unite for Sight
Description:
Unite For Sight is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that empowers communities worldwide to improve eye health and eliminate preventable blindness. Volunteer Teams work with partner eye clinics in developing countries to provide eye care and eye health education programs. Additionally, vision screening and education programs are implemented worldwide by volunteers working in ninety chapters established at universities in North America, Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
