Dancers' Symposium

Description:

Dancers' Symposium provides an open and supportive environment to further the exposure of dance, music, student choreography, and student performance at Carnegie Mellon University. There are no requirements to audition; people of all backgrounds, cultures, majors, and genders are encouraged to participate. Diverse styles of choreography and lyrical content are encouraged. One two-act show is produced each semester, consisting of staging, lighting, and student costume design. All performances are open to the public. Furthermore, Dancers¬タル Symposium seeks to be an active member of the university community by offering open dance classes taught by organization members and by working with local dance companies to bring additional classes and performances to campus. Dancers¬タル Symposium is composed of Dancers, Choreographers, Directors, and the dance community.

Description:

Deewane is CMU's very own and very first South Asian A Cappella group. The group sings a blend of western and eastern music that is very representative of the identitie's of the singers themselves. Deewane started in 2007.

Through our growing network of partners and increasing general body membership we raise awareness and help people work together. Doctors of Carnegie Society

Description:

The purpose of the Doctors of Carnegie is to provide students with information related to the health professions and professional school application process, to increase health awareness, and to be of beneficial service to the Carnegie Mellon University campus community. The Doctors of Carnegie encourages our members to gain volunteer experience so that exposure to the medical fields are maximized. Medical schools look for experience and sustained volunteer work in their applications and resumes. Don't be left behind!
