The mission of 85 Broads at Carnegie Mellon is to offer a professional network to the women of the campus community. 85 Broads is a global network dedicated to connecting and inspiring a dynamic and diverse community of 17,000 women. Founded in 1999, 85 Broads now gives motivated women from all fields the tools they need to achieve success. There are over forty two 85 Broads chapters at the leading colleges and universities nationwide. On the 85 Broads website, members can find jobs, connect with women professionals, and get to know other students and recent alumni. At Carnegie Mellon, 85 Broads works to promote the goals of global organization, through mentoring and events that focus on the personal and professional development of women on campus. As a university that attracts motivated and driven women, the 85 Broads could have a positive impact on the women at Carnegie Mellon.
