Host a Late Night Event

Benefits of Hosting a Late Night Event

Hosting a Late Night sponsored event offers many benefits such as:

  • Increased awareness on campus of your organization or department.
  • Financial support for your event from the Late Night budget. Groups can be awarded up to several hundred dollars towards the event’s costs.
  • Advising support from Student Activities.
  • No need to reserve a space. Room reservations are already being held for Late Night events. Available spaces typically include Wean Commons, Kirr Commons, and the Connan Room.
  • Inclusion on the Late Night calendar and website as a "Late Night Sponsored" event.
  • Free publicity on the bimonthly calendar highlighting your event as well as your organization, house community, or department name.

Getting Started

  1. Email Alexandra Conlon to secure a date.
  2. You will be paired with a Student Activities staff member who will act as your "Late Night advisor" to support you during the planning of your event.
  3. Meet with your Late Night advisor to draft a budget and discuss your ideas for the event.
  4. Once your event details are solidified, add your event to the Late Night calendar.
  5. Distribute publicity on campus for your specific event. Your event information will also be included in all Late Night publicity.  (Note: Please be certain when drafting publicity to term it as a "Late Night" event.  Do not refer to it as "UC Late Night."
  6. After the event, meet with your Late Night advisor to submit any reimbursements and finalize a transfer of Late Night funds, if agreed upon in advance, to your organization or department's account.
