Joint Funding Committee
Annual allocations are allotted to organizations to supplement annual operating costs that are not met through fund raising. The JFC meets every fall to determine eligibility for funding and to define the spring funding process. In spring it reconvenes to hold budget hearings and to determine student organizations’ allocations for the next academic year. The following guidelines are used by student government to determine if an organization is eligible for a JFC-funded operating budget:
- An organization must be a recognized student organization as defined by student government through COSO.
- An organization must be determined eligible for JFC funding by the Fall JFC.
Eligibility allows an organization to enter the JFC process but does not guarantee funds from the student activities fee.
The 2006-2007 JFC will begin to meet during the fall semester. Details of the 2006-2007 JFC process including a timeline and eligibility requirements will be announced via e-mail to student organizations and through the Student Senate website.
