Become A Mentor

"Mentors work in groups and meet with their girls once a week for an hour and half. During the sessions, the mentors teach SWSG curriculum, which centers on reading biographies, interactive activities (such as an obstacle course and treasure hunts), and journal writing. Past lessons included Michelle Obama to teach Cultural Sensitivity, and Alicia Keys to teach Goal Setting. At the end of each week, all mentors meet and debrief about the week, enjoy snacks, and review the curriculum for the upcoming week.
