Pre-College Counselors
Pre-College residential staff members are responsible for all non-academic experiences and activities for students. Counselors have the most direct contact with Pre-College students, each being responsible for 15-25 residential students. As a team, the Counselor staff is responsible for providing structure to the daily activities of students by organizing large and small area activities, upholding and role-modeling Pre-College program policies, serving as an ambassador to Carnegie Mellon and providing general assistance when needed. Individually, counselors assist Pre-College students with their personal growth and development, provide guidance and support and monitor their safety and well-being. Each counselor is directly supervised by a Head Counselor or Assistant Director.
