Pittsburgh Connections Fair 2007
It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in two very unique opportunities happening on the Carnegie Mellon campus on Friday, August 24 and Wednesday, September 12, 2007. The Pittsburgh Connections event will be held the weekend before classes for our incoming first year students. One major goal of the event is to encourage our new students to take advantage of the wonderful amenities and opportunities that Pittsburgh neighborhoods have to offer. In addition to local Pittsburgh community organizations, we will be inviting a number of local food vendors who will be distributing samples of their menu choices. The Pittsburgh Connections event will take place from 12 noon until 4 pm. We expect to have approximately 1400 incoming students on campus that day, so we hope you will agree that taking part in this event will be a great way for students to learn about your organization. While you are more than welcome to spend the entire day with us, the amount of time you commit to the event is entirely up to you.
The Get Connected Volunteer Fair will be held on Wednesday, September 12 from 11 am to 2 pm in the University Center, Merson Courtyard. This event provides the entire Carnegie Mellon community (students, faculty & staff) with the chance to explore service, arts, cultural and faith-based volunteer opportunities within the Pittsburgh community. This provides our service community partners with another means of recruiting volunteers and promoting their organization.
