Greek Life

The Panhellenic Association (PHA)

The Panhellenic Association is the governing council for the 5 sororities on campus (Alpha Chi Omega, Delta Delta Delta, Delta Gamma, Kappa Alpha Theta, and Kappa Kappa Gamma). The Panhellenic Association exists to develop and maintain fraternity life and interfraternal relations between the five sororities on campus and the greater Carnegie Mellon Greek community. The PHA through their all-sorority programming efforts, promote superior scholarship, leadership development and dissemination of information important to women in the sorority community. The PHA is the coordinating body for recruitment. The PHA represents the single largest women's organization on campus.

Each chapter has a designated person that attends Panhellenic Council meetings each week. Additionally, women from the Panhellenic community hold executive officer positions on the Panhellenic Council.

Panhellenic Creed

We, as undergraduate members of Women's fraternities, stand for good scholarship, for guarding of good health, for maintenance of fine standards, and for serving, to the best of our ability, our college community. Cooperation for furthering fraternity life, in harmony with its best possibilities, is the ideal that shall guide our fraternity activities.

We, as Fraternity Women, stand for service through the development of character inspired by the close contact and deep friendship of individual fraternity and Panhellenic life. The opportunity for wide and wise human service, through mutual respect and helpfulness, is the tenet by which we strive to live.
