Every Woman's Yoga with Angie Lusk

Whether you are drawn to yoga for stress reliefe, keeping your body and mind strong, preparing for childbirth or transitioning into menopause, yoga truly is for every woman. Dress comfortaly and prepare for a class that will encourage your sensitivity and intuition-not as a vulnerabiltiy to overcome -but as a way to cultivate self discovery and uncoditional acceptance. Mats will be provided.

Gender and Horror: What the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Did for Feminism

Join Rebecca May, a doctoral candidate in English, for a discussion about gender and horror films. How can representations of violence and gore help us to position ourselves as gender advocates? Can one be a feminist and a horror fan?

Film: Eve Ensler's Vagina Monologues

McConomy Auditorium, 6:30p.m.

The Vagina Monologues, created and performed by Eve Ensler, debuted off-off Broadway in 1996. This controversial work soon rode a wave of national acclaim and continues to be performed in North America and around the world. It has been translated into 14 different languages and performed in over 30 different countries. This film version includes Eve's unique performance as well as interviews that inspired the original work. Co-sponsored by the Women's Leadership Institute(WLI).
