MOSAIC 2013
Sex and Gender Conference
Carnegie Mellon University, University Center
February 23 and 24, 2013
Each year students across all academic discplines come together for MOSAIC, a community-wide gender conference held on Carnegie Mellon's campus. The objective of MOSAIC is to offer provocative sessions aimed at exploring gender construction in unconventional ways. Sessions are led by faculty, staff and students of Carnegie Mellon, as well as invited guest speaker.
This year's MOSAIC theme "The Naked Truth" enables us to take a revealing look at sex, gender, and sexuality through a variety of discussions, each offering the hard-hitting truth about social and cultural realities. Sessions will include a monologue performance on domestic violence, discussion on the lived experience of a black trans man, display of student art on gender and sexuality, as well as a keynote address focused on the college hook-up culture.
