John Hannon
John directs the Student Development Office, serves as the Housefellow for Boss House, and serves as student affairs liaison to the Mellon College of Science. John received a Masters degree in Counselor Education from the Pennsylvania State University in 1994, and a BA in Mathematics from Colgate University in 1990. John serves on several university committees including the First Year Council, the Pride Month planning team, and the MCS Committee on Undergraduate Affairs. When not at work, John enjoys music, football, cooking and reading. |

David Chickering
David serves as the Mudge Housefellow. David received a Masters degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Iowa in 2002. He also received BA degrees in English Literature and Theatre Arts from Iowa. Professionally, David's interests lie in residential learning communities, first generation college students and male identity development. Outside of student affairs, David enjoys reading, watching baseball, and exploring the outdoors with his family. |

Lucas Christain
Lucas serves as the Housefellow for Morewood Gardens E-Tower and coordinates a variety of spiritual and meaning making programs. He also serves as a liaison to the Carnegie Mellon Interfaith Council (CMIC), an interfaith group focused on serving students in their faith exploration. Lucas holds both a BA in History and an MA in College Student Development in Post Secondary Education from The University of Iowa. Outside of work Lucas enjoys listening to NPR, running, watching college football, eating new foods, and spending time outdoors with his wife and dog. |

Angie Lusk
Angie serves as the Housefellow for Stever House and coordinates leadership development programs such as the First Year Leadership Retreat and the Emerging Leaders Program. In addition, Angie oversees the recruitment and selection of Resident Assistants and provides professional development opportunities for the residential community. She received a Masters degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2002, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Washington and Jefferson College in 2000. As a native to Pittsburgh, Angie is a proud black and gold ‘Stillers’ fan who enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband Matt and son Owen. |

Helen Wang
Helen serves as the Housefellow for Donner House and McGill House. She received her Masters degree in American Studies from the College of William and Mary in 2002. Currently, Helen is completing her doctorate in American Studies. She is also a special instructor in the English Department where she teaches an Asian American Literature course. Helen is a 1999 graduate of Carnegie Mellon with a BA in English and an additional major in Psychology. When she is not housefellowing, dissertating or teaching, you can find her knee deep in experimental cooking and baking, chillaxing with her husband Don (faculty in architecture), or reading and re-reading Steinbeck. Thomas Rainey
Thomas serves as the proud Housefellow for Hamerschlag and Scobell. His focus areas include coordinating the Jumpstart program, Year One Week One coordination, and serving as advisor of the Student Dormitory Council (SDC). Thomas was born and raised in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. He has a passion for developmental psychology and enjoys having conversations about how humans rationalize their behaviors and develop personal meaning. He received a BA in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Slippery Rock University. Outside of work Thomas enjoys playing video games, watching football, working out and reading science fiction novels.

Alauna Peterson
Alauna coordinates all front desk and reception activities in the Student Development Office, while also providing administrative and design support. Alauna holds a BS degree in Clothing Design from the University of Minnesota. She is also the Head Cheerleading coach for the Carnegie Mellon Tartans |
