Strong Women, Strong Girls of Carnegie Mellon cordially invites you to an Evening of Shopping in Shadyside, Wednesday, November 7, 2007 from 5-9pm

Simply enjoy a relaxing night of shopping and participating establishments on Walnut Street will donate a percentage of profits to Carnegie Mellon University Strong Women, Strong Girls.

We hope you will support us through your purchases on Wednesday, November 7! The proceeds will go toward supplies, activities, field trips and nutritious snacks for the girls.

Strong Women, Strong Girls is a group-based mentoring program that uses the study of contemporary women role models, mentoring relationships between college-aged women and girls in grades 3-5, and activities focused on skill-building, to help enhance the lives of at-risk girls. Through building positive self-esteem and skills for life-long success, Strong Women, Strong Girls is working to strengthen the futures of all women and girls involved in the program.

Approximately 25 students at Carnegie Mellon serve as mentors at 4 different partner sites in the Pittsburgh Community. The 25 student mentors travel weekly to local elementary schools and after school programs and work with the at risk youth.
