Arriving on Campus

Opening Day will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012. Students and parents will have the opportunity to hear from the Pre-College Academic Coordinators and the director of Pre-College in Student Life. Students and parents will also meet with program instructors and discuss student schedules, followed by a dinner for students, parents and program staff. Parents are encouraged, but not required, to attend Opening Day.

Orientation Day will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2012.

Early Arrival Information

All requests for early or late arrival must be submitted by June 8, 2011. If you are in need of an accommodation for arrival prior to or after opening day, Saturday, June 30th, please email pc-life@andrew.cmu.edu immediately with detailed information regarding your needs.

Students coming from the west coast, please contact Susie Sheldon pc-life@andrew.cmu.edu about arrival. Accommodations may be made to arrive early in order to be present for Opening Day events. These requests must be made in advance and no later that Friday, June 8th, 2012.

International students will need to make sure all of their paperwork is in order before coming to campus (this could include an I-20 form, which the Office of International Education, OIE, can help you arrange) and will need to participate in an Immigration Check-In on Opening Day. International students, please contact Susie Sheldon pc-life@andrew.cmu.edu in order to schedule arrival. International students may opt to arrive on Friday evening in order to be present for Opening Day.
