Medical Health Insurance Policy
If you are a full-time student, please review Carnegie Mellon's Student Health Insurance Policy. As defined in this policy, you must carry adequate medical insurance that meets certain requirements.
Each enrollment year, full-time students are charged for Carnegie Mellon's lowest premium contracted medical insurance plan. You'll find Enrollment Services Student Fee Assessment rules, including those for the charging of the default insurance premium, here. If a student does not want to enroll in that plan, he or she must complete a waiver form to have the charge removed, or an enrollment form (see below) to choose Carnegie Mellon’s higher premium contracted medical insurance plan.
Our insurance enrollment year runs August 1 though the following July 31. New plans start each August 1.

Carnegie Mellon also offers student optional Dental and Vision insurance. Follow the Dental or Vision link here for details regarding those plans.
