REACT Alcohol Education Course
The REACT (Re-Examine Alcohol Choices Today) Course is designed to provide participants with basic as well as advanced knowledge regarding the following topics:
- Unintended consequences of alcohol use
- How our culture views alcohol use
- Why college students drink
- Media literacy
- Stages of Change Theory
- Low risk guidelines
- What “knowing your limit” really means
- How to help a friend
- What to do in an alcohol emergency
- How to avoid second hand alcohol abuse
The 6 hour course is held on Saturdays only, and begins promptly at 8:00am. Students must arrive on time to get credit for attending. Breakfast and lunch are provided free of charge. If you are required to enroll in the course, please contact Kristine Cecchetti, Health Educator at krisc@andrew.cmu.edu. Be sure to register as soon as possible as classes fill up quickly.
