Let's Get Started

Welcome to the SCS Career Services website. If this is your first visit, take a minute to read the following-it'll make finding the information that you need easier.

(NOTE: You may want to begin with the Before You Begin section. This will give you an overview of the job search process.)

Each of the five sections on the page is designed to provide you with what you need to know about the different aspects of looking for internships or fulltime jobs:

Tools of the Trade contains information on the essential materials and skills needed for job search success-resumes, cover letters, interviewing skills, etc.

Job Search provides some guidance on identifying your marketable skills, as well as researching companies, what to wear to an interview, advice from alums, etc.

Networking offers some resources that will help you to connect with alumni, as well as with companies that might not be actively recruiting at Carnegie Mellon.

Upcoming Events features information on Career Center workshops, job fairs, etc.

Links lists websites of other valuable online resources.
