Career and Professional Development Center Resources for MCS Alumni
The Career and Professional Development Center offers a variety of services for alumni and strongly values alumni as part of the Mellon College of Science community. If you are an alumnus interested in staying connected to the university by sharing knowledge about your career field, please contact Renée Starek, Assistant Director, Career and Professional Development Center and MCS and SHS Career Consultant at rstarek@andrew.cmu.edu or call the Career and Professional Development Center at (412) 268-2064.
If you are an alumnus seeking career-related resources, please refer to the information below.
TartanTrak
http://www.studentaffairs.cmu.edu/career/students_alumni/tartantrak.html
Alumni one year post-graduation can continue to have full access to on-campus recruiting provided they are still seeking their first post-graduate employment opportunity. All alumni are granted regular access to the TartanTrak system. Follow the TartanTrak link and proceed to the "register" section to create your account if you did not have one as a student.
Alumni who are more than one year past their graduation date can access TartanTrak to view job postings, but will not have access to on-campus recruiting opportunities.
Job Fairs
http://www.studentaffairs.cmu.edu/career/events/jobfairs/index.html
Alumni are welcome to all campus job fairs. For further information on these events, please read the job fairs section of the Career and Professional Development website or call (412) 268-2064.
Career Advising
Alumni may schedule an appointment to meet with a Career Consultant to explore career options, discuss job search strategies, resume and cover letter reviews, and to discuss interviewing preparation. Please call the Career and Professional Development Center reception desk (412) 268-2064 to schedule an appointment.
