Spring Employment Opportunities Conference

Eligible to Attend: The EOC career fairs are for currently-enrolled, degree-seeking Carnegie Mellon University students and Carnegie Mellon alumni ONLY.

Students must register on TartanTrak. Select 'Events' at the top of the page after logging into TartanTrak.

Nametags
Important: Nametags are required for admission and will be given out to students who are preregistered. Avoid long lines! Nametags can be picked up when you check in the day of the fair. Nametags should be worn on your right lapel of your suit jacket. (Students not pre-registered can register the day of the event by 5:30 pm and receive a handwritten nametag.)
Getting Ready
- Update your resume and have it reviewed by your Career Consultant or visit the CPDC during Resume Blitz Week, January 30 through February 4.
- Attend the Career and Professional Development Center Workshop "Working a Career Fair" on Thursday, February 2, Rangos 3, 4:30-5:30 pm
- Review the Career and Professional Development Center 'Career Success Guides' entitled "Job Fairs" [.pdf] and "Professional Presentation" [.pdf]
- To avoid cluster printer delays, please print your resumes early.
- Watch the "How to Navigate a Job Fair" streaming video file (used with permission by Purdue University)
Attending
- Dress in professional business attire, according to the industry you are pursuing. Not recommended: jeans, t-shirts and tennis shoes.
- Be sure to bring many copies of your resume (one per company in which you have interest, plus extras)
- Check your coat and backpack in McKenna/Peter/Wright from 11:30am-6:30pm.
