The Career Center and College of Fine Arts at Carnegie Mellon will host our annual Creative Arts Opportunities Conference Feb 21, 2008. The “Creative Arts Opportunities Conference” formally the “Fine Arts Job and Internship Fair,” brings together students and professionals in a range of fields including: art, architecture, animation, design, arts administration, theater, music, film and television, game design, publishing, writing, museums and other arts organizations, advertising and public relations, teaching and public service. Based on the success of last year’s event, where more than 70 companies and organizations came to campus to recruit our students and share ideas, we anticipate another great and fun event in February. This year, our event is linked with programming from the five colleges where you may interact with students and departments in a variety of ways which include: participating in panels or convocations, holding information sessions, hosting a table to promote your company in an informal fair setting and conducting formal interviews with students on Friday, February 22.
The Creative Arts Opportunities Conference remains our primary opportunity to invite industry professionals into our studios and classrooms, to showcase student work across the undergraduate and graduate programs, to provide a forum for networking and sharing of expertise and to provide a recruiting forum.
