Learn what you can and can't negotiate when evaluating a job offer. Discuss how to approach salary negotiation and what strategies to use when approaching your potential employer for other amenities.

Futures in Finance
Annual event held in NYC at Carnegie Mellon's 55 Broad Street facility.
This event is designed to allow Wall Street and other financial companies based in NY to interview Carnegie Mellon students over the winter break for upcoming 2009 summer internships in NYC. Candidates from a variety of backgrounds participate including business, engineering, computer science, and computational finance for positions as analysts, traders, sales etc.

Whether you have a resume together or aren't sure where to begin, this program is for you. You will be given ideas on how you can better market your education, experience, leadership and other skills to employers. Now is the time to perfect your resume and cover letter for the upcoming job fairs and recruiting season!

This program will offer a timeline to follow for your internship search, highlight resources available, and give you methods to help land a great summer opportunity.

Not sure what to expect at a job fair? Searching for ways to stand out from the crowd? Get tips on how to navigate a job fair--learn how to introduce yourself to employers, what to say, how to dress, and much more. Walk away from the next job fair with confidence!
