Program OverviewCampus recruiting takes place Monday through Friday, September through April, excluding exams, breaks and holidays. There is no cost for this service: we are happy to help you recruit our talented students!!! Simply fill out an ON-CAMPUS RECRUITING REQUEST FORM to submit your interview reservation and presentation requests. Please allow up to two weeks for your request to be processed and confirmed by email. Your recruiting confirmation will contain a password to access InterviewTRAK. This is our online system (powered by MonsterTrak) that allows employers to manage their recruiting efforts by posting job descriptions to students, viewing and downloading student resumes, selecting students to interview and viewing the interview schedule(s) to see who has signed up. The process gives employers control of their schedule by screening applicants and selecting candidates you'd like to interview in advance. It also allows our students access to your job opportunities twenty-four hours a day! If you are considering a visit to campus but have another recruiting format in mind, please contact Employer Relations, at 412-268-2064 or erelate@andrew.cmu.edu, to discuss your needs.
A Typical Day of RecruitingParkingVisitors may park in the East Campus Parking Garage on Forbes Avenue. Upon approaching the entry station, please take a ticket from the dispenser. Before returning to your vehicle, go to the pay station to pay for the time you were parked. The pay station will dispense the original ticket which you will then use to exit the garage.Check-InRecruiters should report to the Career Center by 8:50am. The Career Center is located on the Lower Level of the University Center and opens at 8:30am. We make every effort to accomodate all of our recruiters here in the Career Center. However, some interviews may take place in an overflow location in Warner Hall, in Hamburg Hall or in the University Center. All recruiters should report to the Career Center to be escorted to their interview location.Upon arrival, recruiters will be greeted by a member of our team and escorted to an interview room where their day's schedule will be ready for them. Each recruiter should bring business cards and their candidates' resumes. All recruiters will be given an interview evaluation form for use throughout the day. We ask you to fill this out as you go through the day or upon your return to work. We provide this feedback (anonymously) to our students so they can improve their interview skills. Overview of the DayInterviews typically begin at 9:00am and run through 4:30pm, with fifteen-minute breaks in the morning and afternoon, and an hour lunch at 12:15pm.Throughout your day, you are invited to meet with a member of our staff to review your day and/or discuss your specific concerns or needs. You may informally request this when you arrive or contact our employer relations representative, Judith Mancuso, Associate Director, at 412-268-1910 or jm5p@andrew.cmu.edu to set up a specific time. Either way, this is a great opportunity for us to learn how to serve you best. LunchEach day we host a recruiter's luncheon in the Schatz Faculty/Staff Dining Room in the University Center. Reservation cards can be found in your recruiting packet - please turn the card in to the front desk by 10:45am. Our lunch group leaves at 12:15pm, returning at 1:15pm. (Cash only - credit cards not accepted)Please check with the front desk for nearby dining, should you choose
