It's no secret that Carnegie Mellon students are in demand. Establishing a campus presence is a crucial part of any recruiting strategy. Increasing your visibility means forging an on-going partnership with Carnegie Mellon. Of course, every employer has unique needs. That's why we offer a host of opportunities designed to help you connect with our students. Contact if you have interest in any of these programs.

Corporate Visibility Opportunities

Mock Interview

  • September 5th through September 30th (excluding September 29th)
  • 9:00 am to 4:00 pm for a full day
    9:00 am to 12:00 pm for a half day
    1:00 pm to 4:00 pm for a half day

Volunteer for any day during this week to do a combination of 30 minute mock interviews and 5 minute resume reviews on an as needed basis. The Carer Center will coordinate your schedule and advertise to students that you will be visiting campus to provide these services on the day you designate to be convenient. This week has always been very popular among our students and is very helpful in preparing them to participate in the competitive fall recruiting season.

Career Development

Build for the future by educating tomorrow's workforce. Share your first-hand knowledge, make valuable contacts, and increase your name recognition.

  • Mentor a Carnegie Mellon Student
  • Co-Sponsor an Informational Program
  • Conduct Mock Interviews or Resume Reviews
  • Participate in special event such as making a living: living your dream or career kaleidescope.

Internships

Hiring interns lays the foundation for future growth. Internship programs not only allow you to see potential employees in action, they also promote powerful word-of-mouth advertising on campus.

  • Hire Carnegie Mellon Students as Interns (Recruit on campus or through resume drops and job postings)
  • Participate in eFair (Recruit interns on-line)

Connect with Carnegie Mellon faculty and Career Center professionals. Share your concerns, need and opportunities and learn more about our students and programs.

Career Planning Programs

Participate in programs organized by the Career Center and/or various student organizations that deal with career-related issues. The format of these programs is often a panel discussion or topical presentation relates to issues such as:

  • What entry level positions are available in your industry/field?
  • What is a typical day in the life of a _______ like?
  • What do employers look for in a resume and in new hires?
  • What is involved in a company site visit?
  • What impresses you in an interview?
