Hotel

For those professional guests that need lodging on Monday and/or Tuesday evening, Carnegie Mellon will be happy to provide a hotel room for you. Our host hotel is the Wyndham Garden Hotel at University Place, located at 3454 Forbes Avenue, in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh. You can designate your need for this service on your event registration form.

We will also provide a hospitality booth at the Wyndham Monday afternoon while our guests check in. Feel free to stop by for goodies and any help you may need.

Hotel Shuttle

The Wyndham Hotel has a hotel shuttle for the convenience of their guests. The Carnegie Mellon Career Center has made a special request to have our group transported to campus for our events. There are also returns back to the Wyndham Gardens Hotel Monday and Tuesday night. The shuttle will drop off and pick up on campus at the University Center turn-around, located at 5032 Forbes Avenue.

Guests staying at the Wyndham should visit the Hotel’s Bell Stand to inquire about other shuttle service. The Wyndham shuttle serves guests until 9:30 p.m. nightly. From outside the Wyndham Hotel, guests can call 412-901-5483 to request a pick-up.

If you need to call a cab during the weekend, we suggest Yellow Cab Company at 412-665-8100. The Wyndham Gardens Hotel’s address is 3454 Forbes Avenue. The Carnegie Mellon University Center’s address is 5032 Forbes Avenue.

On-campus Parking

If you plan to drive to campus Monday and/or Tuesday, we will provide a parking pass for your use. You will need to park in the East Campus Garage and we will provide you with your parking pass during registration. Please designate your need for this service on your event registration form.

Airport

You will fly into the Pittsburgh International Airport. Upon arrival, you have several choices regarding transportation to the Wyndham Garden Hotel.

Driving Directions - Take 60 to 279 N/376 E. toward Pittsburgh through Ft. Pitt tunnels. Once on bridge stay in far right lane and follow signs for 376 E. Monroeville. Take exit 5, Forbes Ave./Oakland. Look for McKee Place.

Airport Flier - This is the 28X bus. The cost is under $2 one way. Simply buy your ticket when you get onto the bus and take the bus to the Wyndham Garden Hotel in Oakland.

Other Options - Include a limo, hotel shuttle or cab. These arrangements can be made through ground transportation at the airport.
