Currently, adidas is working on building a Design Academy which aims at recruiting young and talented Design Graduates to start their career at our global headquarters in Germany. It will be an 18-24 month program where the graduates will work in different design departments, obtain competency based trainings and will have the opportunity to work in one of our Design Studios in the US or Asia. At Microsoft's Pioneer Studios, we focus on developing branded consumer experiences for Microsoft's entertainment and devices businesses: Xbox, Zune, Mobile, and emerging areas. By harnessing trends and technology insights, we develop products using an integrated design, engineering, and business approach.

We are looking for a talented Graphic Designer to create beautiful, inspiring designs across the Pioneer Studio portfolio. Primary responsibility is to create and envision design concepts for multiple brand, print, packaging, motion, and interactive projects. Experience developing patterns, illustrations, and colors, materials & finishes for soft/hard good products a plus.

This designer will work closely with industrial designers, UX designers, producers, researchers, marketers, and engineers in a highly collaborative studio environment.

Requirements:
  • Portfolio demonstrating raw creative talent, passion, and inspiration.
  • Ability to work in a variety of different styles with the hands-on skills to make them reality.
  • Strong critical eye for art & design trends, seeing what's here as well as what's coming.
  • Ability to develop a clear, engaging and honest point of view, advocate the resulting design and present its story with confidence.
  • Experience navigating all phases of design from concept development through production.
  • Hands-on skills with industry-standard design tools (i.e. Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, Blend etc.). Motion graphics experience is a plus.
  • Evidence of ambidextrous thinking synthesizing analytical & aesthetic thought, art & engineering, business & brand.
  • 3-5 years of experience in designing high quality branded consumer experiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in design, art, or related discipline.

    The position is located in our studio space in Pioneer Square in downtown Seattle. It will require some domestic and international travel.

This position is part of the engineering organization so candidates must be able to write the code to build what they design. The position is full-time and reports to the Product Design Lead and is based in downtown Palo Alto, CA.

    Responsibilities:
    • Be at the intersection of product and engineering to prototype, design and build new features for an audience of millions
    • Design and ship products of the highest quality with the clean consistent style that Facebook is known for
    • Implement and extend the style guidelines with the rest of the design team

    Requirements:
    • Strong portfolio featuring interaction design samples
    • Expertise in PHP, Unix, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX
    • Experience building web or desktop applications
    • Clear verbal communicator and detail oriented
    • Working toward a BS or BFA in any field

    Bonus Points:
    • Experience with user testing and complicated workflow design
    • Portfolio includes self-started personal projects
    • Solid taste in music a plus

    Opportunity Profile: Mylan's Manager of Internet-Intranet Design is responsible for the overall leadership and management of the graphic design of Mylan's electronic and online offerings.

    This position will: create a visual strategy that supports priorities for Global Public Affairs and all corporate initiatives; develop new cost-saving initiatives; optimize the company's online channels; and coordinate external relationships with outside graphic design service providers.

    Qualifications: Must possess knowledge of overall business, technical, and cross-functional savvy to solve complex problems and make timely decisions; ability to understand financial and performance metrics. Familiarity with the operations aspects of pharmaceutical products and services is preferred. Must also have demonstrated success with technical subject matter and graphic design concepts. Must have the ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with lines of business and support partners, as well as to work independently within and beyond the scope of the defined job function. Must have excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate and influence a large cross-site servicing constituency. Candidates should also be proficient in MS Office.

    Education and Experience: Minimum of a bachelor's degree in online graphic design, graphic design, technology or a related field and a minimum of 6 years of experience (if applicable)in website management, development as well as customer contact is required. Pharmaceutical industry eyepiece is preferred. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
