Factor Design San Francisco is looking for an experienced and inspired Senior Designer to lead functional project teams in our growing studio. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of culturally defining projects for some of the worldﾒs most innovative brands.

Responsibilities:

• Determine the strategic points of entry for creative development and exploration
• Establish creative approach and development plan for project teams
• Bring new resources, vendors, and perspectives to the team
• Oversee multiple projects simultaneously from planning to launch
• Challenge the creative and strategic intent of a given project in a responsible manner
• Willingness to travel to client engagements throughout North America, Europe, and Asia
• Contribute to and lead internal creative reviews and external client presentations
• Define priorities and establish resource needs in advance
• Communicate with the Creative Director and Client Services team throughout all phases of projects to manage schedules, budgets, and deliveries
• Manage and mentor a team of Junior Designers and Design Interns
• Lead and participate in key project decision-making, including: requirements gathering, scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of client teams and approval processes
• Collaborate with Client Services team to manage client relationships and delivery of projects within scope of assigned work
• Provide clear communication to the Creative Director and senior management regarding project status, resource requirements, issues, and priorities

• Vocal leader and ardent communicator of conceptual ideas and team expectations
• Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
• Ability to multi-task on several projects at once
• Ability to analyze opportunities, define successful approaches, and proactively solve problems
• Ability to think quickly and clearly in stressful situations
• Demonstrates sensitivity to the cultural and business environments of our clients and their teams

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a mid-level Designer or Senior Designer within a fast-paced design studio or agency environment
• Experience working with Fortune 500 brands
• BFA or MFA from a leading 4-year undergraduate or 2-year Masters design program
• Portfolio of award-winning design work across a variety of media and industries
