TartanTrak TIPSHEET

Pay attention to all submission dates, times, sign-ups and deadlines.
Remember that there are 2 Databases in TartanTrak: Search Jobs & Internships and Interview and Connect with Employers (InterviewTRAK)

It is strongly advised that students set a 3 month default date when searching in either database.

• Use Search Jobs & Internships to find full-time, part-time, internships, co-ops and campus jobs listed in TartanTrak.

• Use the Search Menu in InterviewTRAK to:
  
  Search for opportunities to submit your resume for each position you are interested; sign up for interviews, mock interviews, and resume drops; submit resume to online resume book; find out about employer presentations and information sessions and use Personal Dates to keep track of interview, where you have submitted your resume, if you have been selected for a pre-select or alternate and upcoming presentations. Check daily so you do not miss the opportunity to interview on campus.
  

• Certain PDF resumes, those utilizing the security features in Adobe will be automatically removed from downloads by employers and the Career Center.

• You must submit a resume for an employer to see it and consider it. Employers DO NOT HAVE ACCESS to your uploaded resumes.

• When you delete a resume, you will remove your resume from all employers to whom you previously submitted.

• You cannot edit your resume directly on TartanTrak because once it is uploaded it is a picture of your resume. To edit, do it offline within the word processing program and then use the Update/Replace button on the resume menu to upload this new version.

• Use the link on the TartanTrak Front Page to connect to the Career Classifieds. These are vacancies in the local Pittsburgh area that are short term or part time employment and include the following categories: seasonal, part-time, special skills and miscellaneous.
