Competitions can be an important part of building a performer’s career; they provide exposure, valuable experience, and networking opportunities.
Contact your studio teacher for help with the following:
- What competitions would be appropriate for you at this time in your career
- What repertoire to perform
- What attire would be most appropriate
- How to address the adjudicators/audience
Contact Harriet Schwartz in the Career Center for help with the following:
- Preparing applications and recommendations
- Figuring out ways to fundraise money for the fees and expenses that may accrue from entering a competition
