AmeriCorps Scholars in Service
Two current students are working in the Office of Student Activities as AmeriCorps Scholars in Service. These students play a significant role in developing and implementing many of our community service initiatives. In addition to building our capacity on campus, these students also work at Pittsburgh Cares to develop customized service projects for the campus community.
Medini Annavajhala focuses much of her time on supporting student organizations and Greek chapters who are interested in incorporating service into their groups. Emily Lambert partners closely with RAs, CAs, and house councils to make community service an integral part of the residential experience.
Project Request Forms
Interested in coordinating a customized service project for your group? Please fill out the appropriate project request form and send it to the Scholar in Service listed. Completing this form a minimum of three weeks prior to your preferred project date will ensure that the Scholars in Service have an adequate amount of time to organize your project. For larger groups or more complex requests, please allow one month for project coordination.
For residential groups including RAs/CAs and house councils, please use the Residential Project Request Form and send it to Emily Lambert.
Student organizations and Greek chapters should use the Student Organization Project Request Form and send it to Medini Annavajhala.
