Departmental Summer Programs
Some academic departments at Carnegie Mellon offer faculty led or faculty coordinated programs during the summer or other vacation periods. These programs can vary in length and may or may not be credit bearing. Their availability can also vary from year to year, so check with the department to see what programs will be offered.
Faculty led/faculty coordinated programs are generally small in size and consist exclusively of Carnegie Mellon students and faculty. This allows students to explore a topic more in depth and connect that learning directly to their Carnegie Mellon studies. Students who are interested in cultural immersion should consider supplementing a faculty led program with a more traditional study abroad experience.
