Smoking Cessation at Carnegie Mellon University

Smoking Cessation is available at the Student Health Service for Carnegie Mellon University Faculty, Staff and Students.

Ready to Think About Quitting? Reasons to kick the habit for good:

  • Your Health; Lung cancer now kills more women each year than breast cancer.
  • Money; A pack a day habit runs an estimated $1,500 each year.
  • Frequent coughs, sore throats and longer lasting colds, flu’s and ear infections.
  • Appearance; wrinkles, bad breath and yellow teeth.
  • Arguments and nagging from friends and family who want you to quit.
  • The risk of second hand smoke for those around you.
  • Kissing a smoker is like licking an ashtray!
  • It’s no fun to stand outside during cold or rainy weather puffing away.
