Quitting: What You Need to Know

Quitting smoking is a challenge, but it’s one that can be overcome with preparation and support.  It’s important to remember that addiction is both mental and physical.  Both parts must be addressed in order to quit successfully.  Cessation programs help smokers prepare for the challenges that come with quitting, as well as provide support and encouragement throughout the process.  Nicotine replacement therapies and other medications can reduce the withdrawal symptoms that make it difficult to quit.
