Free Programs for Carnegie Mellon Students, Faculty, and Staff

Student Health Services:

A health promotion specialist is available to meet with you to talk about your tobacco use and readiness to quit. Together, you will discuss a personalized plan of action. Weekly visits are scheduled to help guide and support you through the process of quitting.

Pennsylvania Free Quitline:

1-800 QUIT NOW (1-800-784-8669) is offered through a partnership between the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the American Cancer Society. This telephone-based program offers individual counseling and structured assistance for tobacco cessation.   
The Quitline can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
