Prescription Refills

What should I do if I have an existing prescription from a doctor outside of Student Health, and I need to get it filled?

Do you have refills left?
If your prescription is for something we carry in the clinic, and you would like to be able to fill it here at Student Health, make an appointment through our Advice Nurse to have your prescription reviewed and rewritten here.

Otherwise, you’ll need to take your prescription to a local pharmacy in your plan’s network, and have it filled there.

Amsler Pharmacy, 818 Warrington Ave., Pittsburgh, PA, 15210, will fill your prescription and then deliver it to Student Health Services for you. If Amsler Pharmacy is in your insurance plan’s network, contact George Narkus, R.Ph, pharmacist and owner of Amsler Pharmacy, at 412 431 5766.  George will explain how you can arrange for this service.

Amsler Pharmacy is in the network of pharmacies associated with the Highmark PPO Blue student insurance plans contracted by the university.

Are you out of refills?
You need to consult your doctor, or visit Student Health, to have your prescription reviewed and rewritten if appropriate.
