Abdominal Discomfort

Abdominal discomfort can be a result of stress, lack of regular exercise, swallowing too much air or improper eating habits. However, abdominal discomfort can also be more serious in nature; it can result from the use of certain drugs, as well as infections or food allergies.

  • For all abdominal discomfort, seek medical attention if your pain increases despite the self care options below, or if your pain is accompanied by a fever.
  • When abdominal discomfort occurs, following these instructions (see Nausea and/or Vomiting and/or Diarrhea) can often bring quick relief.
