Event Planning

Planning

Consider whether it is advisable for the event to proceed

  • Does the event intermingle large numbers of participants who otherwise would not come into contact?
  • How much risk can be mitigated by adjusting the event parameters?
  • How essential is the event in the current climate?

Best Practices

Thoughtful planning of activities

  • Hand sanitizers, disinfecting wipes and fewer handshakes
  • Hold events outdoors or in larger indoor spaces

Mitigate risks presented by food distribution

  • Limit finger foods and common source foods
  • Use safe food handling practices (gloves, plates, serving utensils, etc.)

Explicitly discourage persons from attending the event if they do not feel well
