Carnegie Mellon University's Asim Smailagic and his team of researchers will unveil a new health system designed to monitor a patient's total well being, including blood pressure, blood oxygen levels, balance, hand grip, hearing, visual acuity and stress levels.

Carnegie Mellon University has named Ramayya Krishnan, the W. W. Cooper and Ruth F. Cooper Professor of Management Science and Information Systems, dean of its H. John Heinz III College, effective July 1. Krishnan has been interim dean of the college since August 2008.
